Walking Together in Kenya
Scripture, fellowship, discipleship, and practical care.
How the Connection Began
Pastor John found Victory Over Vice Ministries while studying victory in Christ. In a September 22, 2026 conversation, he described reading the ministry’s website and reaching out because he wanted this kind of discipleship and fellowship to grow in his community.
What began as a message became a continuing relationship: prayer, Bible discussion, leadership development, and a desire to serve others through the Gospel.
Learning and Growing Together
VOVM’s conversations with John have focused on love as the foundation of ministry, faithful understanding of Scripture, discernment, and equipping believers to disciple others. Online fellowship connects believers in Kenya and the United States despite distance and limited communications resources.
The ministry has also been working on Kenya-focused study materials and language access. Dholuo materials require appropriate local review before being treated as ready for public release.
Faith Expressed Through Care
The conversations have included practical needs alongside teaching: access to Bibles and printed materials, food and other essentials, and reliable ways to communicate and learn together. These are needs and priorities identified through the developing ministry relationship, not a claim that every need has already been funded.
Victory Works Charitable Ministries shares the community’s story and practical support information on its website. Visit its giving page for current options.
